Summer 2009: Florida Sea Base is awesome! Move fast!  Plan to sign on now; make a commitment to this great summer event! Seabase is a regular on the BSA 365 radar. The Out Island Adventure is the trip we will take. Brian Burkett (a Scouter) has done this trip twice; he says it's a lot of hard work but the crews are outstanding. Mike Hock's been there -- what more can we say! Medical forms are due May 20 -- don't delay!

bulletMeeting to discuss plans, etc.: March 2, Gethsemane Lutheran Church 35 E Stanton Ave 7:00 PM. We'll be about 30-45 minutes.
bulletCrews are locked in -- it's done! Crew #1, June 24-30: Bill Alsnauer A, Braden Alsnauer A, Jason Gaston, Kurtis Walker, Nick Darby, Jake Anderson, David Aspery, Dominic Cautela. Crew #2, July 2-8: Jeff Battisti A, Brenda Serpa A, Jeff Gilligan A, Lynda Gilligan A, Joey Gilligan, Tate Greuling, Chris Battisti, Greg Serpa
bulletContact Mr. Alsnauer for planning questions. Go to www.bsaseabase.org to answer any questions about the trek.
bulletAdditional checks will be due at the first Scout Meeting of each month: February, $400 -- get these to Mr. Alsnauer or Mr. Williams so we can arrange air transportation if tickets suddenly get cheap!; March, $300; April, $200; May, $100. We imagine the trip to cost about $1100.
bulletAll Scouts are to be VERY active in Troop 365 for this entire year until the travel.  All Scouts are expected to attend meetings, provide leadership and to attend a minimum of (3) campouts, day hikes, etc., during the next 5 months. This is part of the Scouting Spirit.
bulletAll participants must successfully pass the BSA Swimmer test. You'll be retested at Sea Base, and sent home if you can't do it.
bulletAll Scouts must have the Cooking Merit Badge. This has traditionally been an unofficial Eagle requirement -- it's a requirement for this trip.
