"Trained" adult leader? To help us keep on top of things (if you have not already done so), fill out the Adult Volunteer Training Record, save it with your name on it, and email a copy to michael.hock1@gmail.com (Committee Chair) and to Lee Anne McKee, lemckee@skcbsa.org (Buckeye District staff). If you have already taken training, please make sure your on-line record at  http://myscouting.org reflects that training correctly. If you need more information, want to explore options, or have questions, contact Mike Hock at 614.888.4703.

bulletHere's what we know about Assistant Scoutmaster training for 2012. These courses deliver the syllabus in a troop and patrol environment to enhance understanding. All courses will be $50 when registering before the early bird deadline (typically 30 days), so sign up early. Registration for all courses is via "Doubleknot" at http://www.skcbsa.org: select "Calendar" then navigate to the first date of the course to register. Registration is open 6 months before the course begins. Please check with our Committee Chair with any questions.

bullet BSA merit badge counselor form  People who want to be counselors are our most valuable asset in making a customized Scout program fitting to each boy. Here's the form you'll have to complete and give to the Council. Ask us about how this works. Youth protection training is required for each merit badge counselor, so plan on a hour for this too. We also have tips for exceptional merit badge counseling, so you can see how straightforward this is.
